I Now Declare… THE LANES ✨

Last week, family and friends gathered to watch Mark and Frances tie the knot… only to discover the knot had been tied months ago!
In fact, the couple secretly celebrated their Nikah, the Muslim wedding ceremony, back in December.

From the sweeping views of Bennachie for the ceremony to the foot-stomping ceilidh dancing in the marquee, it was pure joy to help plan and coordinate a day that was equal parts romance, tradition, and a little twist of mystery.

✨From ring bearers to aisle escorts, pets bring even more love to your big day. Here are some ways you can make them part of your Wedding:

1. Ring Bearer or Flower Pup
Dress your pet to match your bridal/grooms party and let them walk down the aisle.

2. Pre-Ceremony Photos
Include your pet in your getting-ready or first look photos for heartwarming, candid moments.

3. Walk Down the Aisle Together
Have your pet escort you down the aisle or join the bridal party walk-in for a truly unique touch.

4. Include Them in the Vows
Mention your pet in your vows to show how important they are to your shared life.

5. Cake Topper Cameo
Order a custom cake topper that features your pet in miniature form. A favourite is to have them at the base of the cake with some “teeth” marks in the cake.

6. Signature Cocktail Name
Name your drinks after your pet: “Theo-rita” or “Tequi-Luna” with a cute illustrated sign.

Think of me as your behind-the-scenes boss: managing your timeline, guiding vendors, handling hiccups, and making sure your day runs exactly as planned (even when things don’t go exactly to plan).

You shouldn’t have to run your own wedding and neither should your mum, your maid of honour, or your best man.

Does a certain venue or space represent you as a couple? Let’s make it work!

Someone to guide the ceremony and legally marry you.

4. Guest Comfort
Think seating, restrooms (if not using a venue), and preparation for any weather.

5. Food & Drinks
There are no rules around the wedding meal - canapés, drinks, or even pizza will do. Hungry guests are grumpy guests!

6. Photography/Videography
If you want to relive the day, this is your memory keeper.

7. Music & Atmosphere
A playlist, a friend with a speaker, or a live band, this sets the tone.

8. Decor & Details

I’m the planner, creative brain, and I WILL be your unofficial hype man behind the scenes, so here’s a bit about me, in case we end up planning your big day together:

🎤 First things first: I love Nicki Minaj, yes, I’m a certified barb! Don’t be surprised if she’s on the playlist during setup!

🐾 I’ve got two dogs: Theo, my loving little chihuahua, and Luna, my sweet pug with a big personality. They were the best ring bearers on my big day.

🏋🏼When I’m not behind a desk you can find me in the gym, join me there and we can sweat away the table plan terrors!

🌍 Favourite city I’ve visited? Hands down, Berlin, it’s full of unique restaurants and bars and is full of character. My next trip is to NYC for the first time so hit me up with some must dos and let’s see if it will take the top spot.

🏠 I’m a big fan of interior design. I love a snoop in TK Maxx’s home department to find some unique pieces.

📺 My favourite TV show is Desperate Housewives: Bree is my spirit animal, perfection is key.

🎬 As for movies, sitting up top is The Great Gatsby think bold parties, timeless elegance, and an outstanding soundtrack!

🎨 The colours and style behind I Now Declare are inspired by my own wedding day, a personal touch that keeps everything rooted in love. Lookout for a few throwback pics of my own day coming up!
